With the latest releases from the Government and The FA today, the current coronavirus (COVID-19) reaching global pandemic levels we must accept that the situation is now out of our control.
In these circumstances following our Committee meeting tonight, the committee has decided that all CUP fixtures are now suspended until Monday 6th April 2020. We will then meet again on the 6th April in the hope that we will be able to have the following Cup Finals taking place:
Tom Bird Cup 10th April 2020, G A Evans Cup 17th April 2020
Mac Webb Cup 24th April 2020, B P Roberts Cup 1st May 2020
Vin Boden Cup – TBC, Ken Pemberton Cup – TBC, Charity Cup – TBC
We will suspend all fixtures with immediate effect following the statement issued by the The FA today regarding grassroots football, we are hoping the fixtures will recommence on Friday 10th April 2020. (Tom Bird Cup Final).
EGM Meeting - Monday 23rd March 2020
This meeting has now been CANCELLED due to the guidelines announced by the Government for people to avoid attending pubs, clubs and to avoid non-essential contact.
Further updates will be announced to all Secretaries via email and on the league website.
The Sunday League will continue to monitor the situation, but trusts that its loyal clubs, players, Club officials & Match Officials will accept that it has had no other choice but to reach this decision.
It wishes everybody connected with the league and indeed the whole country a safe passage through these turbulent times.
