AFC Woodcross Premier Division Champions 2016

The Committee of the Wolverhampton & District Sunday Football League would like to congratulate AFC Woodcross on winning the Premier Division 2015-2016.

AFC Woodcross secured the title on Sunday 1st May with a convincing 7-1 win against Springvale Steelers.

Springvale needed to win to keep their championship hopes alive, and they opened the scoring thanks to Lee Faulkner, Woodcross hit back to lead at the interval thanks to strikesfrom Adam Hill & Tom Piggott.

The second half belonged to Woodcross with further goals from Hill & Piggott plus one from Al Preece sealing the win and the title for AFC Woodcross.
