Belgrade FC won the Tom Bird Cup Final on Friday night beating Wrottesley FC 4-0.

Played in front of a packed crowd inside Wolverhampton Casuals FC with both sides a credit to the Sunday League as they took part in our first Cup Final of the season.

Wrottesley fell behind in the 6th minute with an own goal by Ben Whittall that came off his head into his own net. Wrottesley went in search of an equaliser but were 2-0 down in the 26th minute when Belgrade's No 10 Andrew Turvey finished off a fine move with a right foot shot into the corner of the goal to give them a 2-0 lead at half time.

Dave Maher put Belgrade 3-0 on 83 minutes and substitute Martin John completed the scoring in injury time to give them a convincing 4-0 win on the night.

Belgrade's No 8 Callum Parkes was voted Man Of The Match and captain Luke Cook received the Tom Bird Cup from Melvyn Bird brother of the late Tom Bird.
