Pitch Inspections Adverse Weather

Due to the recent Inclement weather particularly the amount of rain we have had so far, Clubs are reminded that private grounds who have a groundsman may be told that the pitches are not fit to be used. ALL Clubs and Match Officials should be notified by the HOME club Secretary to avoid unnecessary travelling.

Council Park pitches may be called OFF by the Council on a Friday and all Clubs will be notified of this action taken. An email will be sent to all clubs involved and the League Website will be updated with the relevant information.

However the Council may choose to let the Match Referee make the decision on a Sunday morning, so everyone should attend the venue as normal.

Should the Referee call the game OFF as the pitch is deemed unplayable, then this decision must be accepted by both clubs on the day. If the referee has attended the venue to carry out the pitch inspection he/she should be paid a half fee, to be shared by BOTH clubs.
